Mechanism of Action

PT-141 (Bremelanotide) is a melanocortin receptor agonist that acts on MC3R and MC4R receptors in the central nervous system. Unlike PDE5 inhibitors, it works through the hypothalamus to modulate sexual arousal and desire through dopaminergic pathways.
